The Conselleria d’Afers Socials i Esports allocated 2.24 million euros to the sports clubs of the Balearic Islands that have participated in official state-category competitions in the 2021-2022 season. These contributions were made through three lines of support, which will be maintained for the new season with an additional 695,000 euros and which, in fact, have been increasing the budget since 2015.
In the 2021-2022 season, the Ministry allocated 1.6 million euros to individual and collective sports clubs, to which must be added 500,000 euros from sponsorship contracts and an extra 140,000 euros for women’s or mixed teams.
For the 2022-2023 season, the Department of Esports “will allocate a total of 2.94 million euros to these three lines of support, which demonstrates the commitment in favor of the entire network of the Balearic sports fabric,” reported the Government .
