NEW YORK (1010 WINS NEWS) – A 22-year-old man was struck and killed by a subway in NoMad early Sunday, the MTA said.
The man was reportedly lying on the subway tracks around 1:30 a.m. when an operator of a Q train approaching the 28th Street station at Broadway pulled the emergency brake, but the train did not could stop.
“Northbound N/Q trains are delayed while we investigate a report of an unauthorized person on the tracks at 28th Street,” the MTA tweeted at 1:35 a.m.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is unknown.
