RTBF sports journalist Pierre Deprez comments on his last World Cup for the public channel.

Present in Qatar where he relates the latest information from the Red Devils, Pierre Deprez comments on his last World Cup for RTBF. The sports journalist will retire in 2023.
Pierre Deprez joined the RTBF in the sports editorial office in Liège in 1990 before starting to commentate on major sporting events in 1996. That year, he notably commented on judo at the Atlanta Olympic Games. He remembers Ulla Werbrouck’s gold medal in particular: “It was quite brilliant”, he confides to us.
Since 2002, he has commented on all World Cup editions for RTBF. The World Cup in Qatar will therefore be the last edition he will comment on. After the World Cup in Qatar, he will continue to comment on the news of the Red Devils and the Pro League.
Pierre Deprez will retire on May 1, exactly one month after his 65th birthday.
