the US Samazan finds colors

The club, which for several years experienced National Championship games, has now regained its colors and the Renaud-Jean hall has taken on the appearance of an impregnable fortress.

And, it is now Dorian Denaules who takes his place every week on the bench of the pennant team. This child of the club, also passed by the hopes of the Élan Béarnais Pau Orthez, and by the Landais d’Amou club, works with pleasure and conviction for the greater good of his players.

If there is no question of going too fast, US Samazan is made up of a group of talented players and the group intends to finish the championship by being the highest ranked possible. “It’s a shame, we went through the last two away games a bit, admits Dorian Denaules. We also have injured people and that complicates our task. The objective will first be to ensure at home and, if we can make one or two shots outside, we will not deprive ourselves of it. The objective of the season is to finish as high as possible, but by losing three times in a row away from home, we took a small handicap for the climb. »

Good basics

But, beyond the classification, the club of president Lassus clearly displays its desire to have fun while developing the Samazan training and relying on loyal supporters who know how to push their players to transcend themselves.

“We will continue to evolve by trying to take as much pleasure as possible while building for the future, notes the Samazan coach. We saw, last Saturday, in the “South West” Super Cup against Avenir Basket Chalosse, that there was a good base of young people for the future. Despite our absences, the young people were able to respond present and it is promising. And then, we have a real audience in Samazan. I wish the boys could do it the same way in away games. »
