(pm/cso). The judoka from SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil and other Wetterau clubs also took part in the east district championships in Mühlheim am Main. A total of 170 starters were registered – of which Fun-Ball provided 23 judoka between the ages of seven and 16. Dortelweil was able to book a total of seven first places, seven second places and six third places.

The trainers Lina Dahm and Saskia Vetter were proud of their protégés. While SV trainer Sven Heinz was still there as a coach for the first six hours, he started in the U18 himself and secured the unrivaled championship title (up to 81 kg).

The fun ballers Katja Hohmann and Max Funke (U13) proved their stamina in the so-called Golden Score. After the fighting time has elapsed, fighting continues until the first score is awarded. Both judoka stood on the mat for almost eight minutes and kept up the energy. The repertoire of the local athletes was also technically impressive. From hip throws to foot throws to sacrificial throws, the entire range was called up.

The overall great performance was reflected in the results: Boris Weißbecker (U11/up to 29.7 kg), Viktor Maurar (U11/up to 34.8 kg), Emilia Richter (U11/up to 40 kg), Max Funke (U11/ up to 37 kg), Marek Hohmann (U13/up to 46 kg), Adriano Bergmann (U18/up to 50 kg) were at the top of the podium at the end of Fun-Ball.

The SG Rodheim meanwhile had seven judokas at the start. Alina Ahmed (U11/up to 41.8 kg) had to admit defeat in the opening battle, but fought her way up to second place. Lasse Tugend and Mathis Kalbhenn (both U11/up to 29.7 kg) had to compete against each other in their opening match. The latter prevailed. In the end they both finished third. Finally, Ole Bilz (U11/up to 33.7 kg) was allowed on the mat. Through the consolation round, he advanced to the semifinals and finished third.

In the U13, the Rodheimer newcomer Matheo Fadda was on the competition mat for the first time. In the class up to 43 kg he caught a full pool, but in the end it was enough for third place. SGR judoka Niklas Friedl also won the bronze medal in the class up to 46 kg.

Arisha Ahmed (up to 52 kg), who wears orange and green belts, caused a thriller in the U15. Since the first three had fought for the same number of points in the end, it went into a play-off. From this, the SGR fighter emerged as third and qualified – like her club mates – for the Hessian championships.

Michelle Steinberg (U13/up to 33 kg) represented the colors of VfL Bad Nauheim. She won her competition, as did Rockenberger Max Schöning (U13/from 55 kg). A Wölfersheim U13 trio also entered the list of winners: Mia Pomahatsch (up to 44 kg), Grace Schwegler (up to 57 kg) and Lilly Kaden (from 57 kg).
