The quarterback of Buccaneers de Tampa Bay Tom Brady is considering all options available to him as he is expected to become a free agent at the end of this season, report Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
“Several sources close to the legendary quarterback say that all options are on the table for Brady, who, at 45, feels well enough to continue playing,” write the two journalists.
Brady retired briefly last offseason before reversing his decision and playing 23e professional season with the Buccaneers.
At the start of this campaign, Brady said he wanted to play until the age of 45, as he always wanted. His entourage wonders, however, if he is open to continuing his career, add Rapoport and Pelissero.
The Buccaneers (6-6) are currently in a good position to advance to the playoffs as they prepare to face the San Francisco 49ers sunday. The Bucs sit atop the National Association’s South Division. Despite the team’s struggles this season, Brady has passed 16 touchdowns to three interceptions this season, completing 66.2% of his attempted passes for 3,332 total yards.
If Brady opted to retire, an analyst position awaits him at the Fox network, with whom he signed a 10-year contract.
