The Soria Basketball Club participates with two videos in the contest that, under the name of #YoDigoCero 2022 and coinciding with the celebration on November 25 of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, organized by the Castilla Basketball Federation and Leon.

This contest is included in the campaign that, in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities of the Junta de Castilla y León, seeks to make visible the ongoing struggle to eradicate the scourge of gender violence.

The videos submitted to the contest could have a maximum duration of 60 seconds and they had to appear a basketball and, in text or audio, one of the most repeated phrases during the campaign: “We are against gender violence and we say zero”.
The members of the CSB Children’s Hospital Latorre B, trained by Laia González and Judit Verde, recorded theirs at the conclusion of one of their training sessions at the Youth Sports Center.
And the CSB Infantil B players had the collaboration of Marta Giaquinta, the CSB Infantil Femenino A coach, and shaped their video in Aranda de Duero (Burgos), after the match that faced them against Juventud Pradorey. Both videos were published on the account that Club Soria Baloncesto has on Twitter.
The deadline for the publication of the videos on social networks ended on December 12. Now, a jury made up of three people from the field of sports and gender equality will choose, based on the creativity and quality of the videos presented, the three finalists who, according to the contest rules, will be voted on Twitter . The winner will be the video that gets the most interactions.
It is the first time that Club Soria Baloncesto has participated in this contest, which is experiencing its third edition in 2022. In 2020, the Colegio Santa Bárbara de Bembibre (León) won and in 2021 the Club Deportivo Universidad de Salamanca won.
The award will be given in one of the matches played by the women’s teams from Castilla y León in the highest category: Perfumerías Avenida de Salamanca and Embutidos Pajariel de Bembibre (León).
The awareness actions carried out by the Castilla y León Basketball Federation extend throughout the year and the CSB has always provided the necessary support. The protagonists of the matches that were played the last two weekends of November posed with a banner that read: “#YoDigoCero.
Basketball against gender violence”. In addition, the members of all the Soria Basketball Club teams wore stickers on those two days that simulated a tattoo with the symbol of the fight against gender violence.
