The Beninese Judo Federation (Fbj) organized Saturday, December 16, 2022, at the Institute (Injeps) of Porto-Novo, the Christmas party for young Beninese judokas. Coming from the four corners of Benin, this festival brought together more than a hundred children, namely the chicks, youngest and minimal.

On this occasion, demonstration sections have been developed. The children, who came in large numbers, crowded onto the tatami to enjoy the entertainment organized for them. With this event, the team of President Anicet Glitho closes the activities of the year 2022 in terms of large-scale competition. The federal team made up of Santa Claus took the time to distribute a gift to each judoka and share a glass of friendship with the children, families and spectators in a warm atmosphere. “For children, the fun of Christmas is sometimes limited to the assembly line unwrapping of presents. But the Federation showed us another face of this celebration. She led us to handle another gift than those usually known. This meeting called Children’s Christmas made it possible to put aside the combat techniques learned to have fun, to recreate”, said Germain Loko, the guest of honor. For him, the time is right to create this special family atmosphere. “This will remain lasting memories for the children,” he concluded. “It’s our way of bringing joy to children, joy in anticipation. To show them how much judo conveys other qualities such as sharing, good atmosphere and so on. The children discussed among themselves, they created a mix between them”, rejoiced Eric Olafa, general secretary of the Fbj.
