The family-work conciliation school “Construïm el Nadal” in L’Olleria breaks the student record

The “Construïm el Nadal” family-work reconciliation school for boys and girls from 3 to 12 years old, promoted by the Department of Education of the L’Olleria City Council, has broken the enrollment record. The municipality stands out in the field of education for its holiday schools in terms of quality and number of students and, in this case, the Christmas school has brought together a total of 155 participants to develop activities, workshops and excursions during the academic holidays of December and January.

The December program began with the show and concert “La vida es una fiesta” by Dani Miquel and the Ma·Me·Mi·Mo·Músics, which completed the capacity of the Plaza de la Vila and allowed children and girls a Christmas morning filled with fun, music and entertainment. As for music, the boys and girls of the school also warmly received the musical “El reino del león” at the Goya Theater, with the representation of the popular children’s story.

Among the highlights of the family-work balance school we find various excursions, such as a visit to the interactive, educational and inspirational exhibition “See, touch, play. Art, fashion and matter”, a space where you can play with colors, shapes, various textile materials, gestures and movements with the only rule that it is forbidden not to touch. In addition, the excursion to the Bioparc de València to meet the animals of the African savannah and the excursion to Venta del Moro where they carried out archery, a Tibetan bridge, a zip line and a climbing wall were among the favourites.

In “Construïm el Nadal” several educational and dynamic workshops have also been carried out, such as the Astronomy Workshop, an activity inside a planetarium where they projected images and sounds of stars, planets, galaxies and explained what the universe through anecdotes and current events of scientific progress. The Art Workshop brought out their most creative skills with the preparation and decoration of a mural at the entrance to the municipal sports center with the help of an artist, and in the Orientation Workshop they learned to pack Christmas presents.

A Christmas where they received two very special and emotional visits, that of the Royal Page to deliver their letters to the Kings of the East and that of the animated characters Minnie and Goofy with whom they were able to make a song and take photos at the photocall. The students even helped in the population to save Christmas to the children’s Passage “The house of the Grinch” through tests and lots of fun.

The Councilor for Education, Daniel Semper, has stressed the success of “Construïm el Nadal” due to the great participation of the boys and girls during the course: “Through this school we have achieved one more year than the youngest of L ‘Olleria have enjoyed Christmas in an area of ​​family and work conciliation throughout the school holidays, but above all, that they have learned new knowledge and experiences in different areas,’ added Semper.
