The Union makes a proposal for the purchase of the land of its new stadium

Union Saint-Gilloise is accelerating the file for its new stadium.

After several months of discussion, the Union made a proposal to the tune of 3.5 million euros to the municipality of Forest in order to obtain the land for the Bempt site, according to Le Soir and Het Laatste Nieuws.

While the municipality must consider this proposal, the club obviously hopes to receive a positive response very quickly. This Monday evening, the club will hold an information session for its supporters and residents.

The club has an envelope of 80 million euros to finance its new enclosure which would allow it to play its European Cup matches at home.
