Vitoria hosts this weekend the National Badminton Master

Vitoria-Gasteiz hosts this coming weekend the Senior National Badminton Master. Specifically, 115 players from different autonomous communities will meet, 20 of them from Alava, turning the territory into the epicenter of national badminton

The Aranalde sports center will be the setting for this event, scoring for the national ranking. The tournament was presented this Monday by the Provincial Councilor for Culture and Sports, Ana del Val, the Councilor for Sports and Health, Livia López, the director of Fundación Vital Fundazioa, Arantxa Ibañez de Opacua, the President of the Alava Badminton Federation, Ángel Ruiz, and the “match control” of the test, Alfredo Martínez.

The session on Saturday will begin at 9:00. IM, IF, DM, DF and DX matches will be played, all of them to the best of three sets of 21 goals. Sunday is reserved for the semifinals and finals.

During these two days of competition, the tournament will have current Champions of Spain in its different categories and modalities. In addition, the presence of about 20 players from Alava will be noteworthy.

The age range of the participants is from 30 to more than 65 years. It should also be noted that athletes from more than 42 clubs from all over the state will participate.
