Over half a million euros to modernize the sport facilities in the outdoor area attached to the “Aprosio” high school in Ventimiglia.
The funding of 507,500 euros was published on the website of the Ministry of Education and Merit and is part of the further 171 interventions of the Pnrr financed with 255.6 million euros, additional resources allocated following the meeting between the minister Joseph Vallettara and the president of the Union of Italian provinces Michele De Pascale.
The project was presented last year by Province of Imperia in response to the tender for school construction and for the upgrading of sports infrastructure at school.
The intervention involves the redevelopment of the sports area pertaining to the Ventimiglia high school with volleyball/basketball courts, tennis, a high jump, a long jump and a six-lane 100-metre track and field track.
The works include the remaking of the tartan surface of all the systems (the work will make it possible to adjust the slopes of the fund to ensure the correct disposal of rainwater), the arrangement of the surrounding green areas with the creation of connecting pedestrian paths, the construction of a lighting and irrigation system, the replacement of various equipment related to the usability of the facilities (nets, baskets, support poles, etc.).
The president of the province Claudius Scajola comments: «The funding rewards our project which aims at the redevelopment of sports facilities used by the school that are now worn out and in need of interventions. The news of the entry in the ranking has arrived in these hours. We won’t waste time: as soon as we have the executive project we will proceed with the tender for the works».
