Judokas compete in Villares de la Reina

Villares de la Reina will become this Sunday the 29th the ‘epicenter’ of judo.

The Leisure and Sports Center will host this Sunday, January 29, 147 judokas from Asturias, Castilla y León, Galicia, Madrid and La Rioja and from the neighboring country of Portugal to participate in the International Junior Judo Tournament of Castilla y León and Memorial Immaculate Hernandez 2023.

From Salamanca, the Doryoku, Navega, Santa Marta, Zarza and Villares de la Reina clubs participate, as Vicente Zarza explained during the presentation.

In addition, of the 147 athletes, there will be fifty technicians. The organization of this championship is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, and the day of competition will be Sunday throughout the morning. The shifts will take place based on the final number of registered and the deliveries of the medals will be made at the end of each of the categories.

The Councilor for Sports, Miryam Tobalhas thanked the Federation of Judo and Associated Sports of Castilla y León for organizing this Championship and its willingness to continue having the facilities of the José Martín Méndez Leisure and Sports Center in Villares de la Reina.
