ABU DHABI, 8th February, 2023 (WAM) — DAZ Festival (formerly known as Dar Al Zain Festival) returns to Al Ain with a new nature-inspired theme and authentic, family-friendly entertainment program, which will run from February 10-19 at Al Jahili Park, Al Ain.
Organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), the event will be a celebration of life and nature, providing exciting and inspiring experiences for residents and visitors.
Taking place in the spring, with Fort Al Jahili as a backdrop, the DAZ Festival invites visitors to taste traditional fairground foods and international cuisine, wiggle to the rhythms of regional music stars, try the rides classics, exploring the giant oasis of the art park and indulging in retail.
Transformative art installations
Drift into the harmony of technology and art with the eye-catching “Pyramid Sphere” art installation. Debuting in the United Arab Emirates, this installation features repeating geometric shapes that expand to form pyramids. Visitors can enter the sphere through a tunnel and view the outside world through windows. Without a clear entrance or exit, the installation is intended to challenge the public by leading them to question their built environment.
Kaleidoscopic moments
Create memories and many Instagrammable moments at the Dazzle Haus, an electrifying and immersive installation. Visitors can navigate the wonders of nature through five halls featuring caves, plants and avatar-like creatures and an underwater world. Every room in this space is inspired by the Earth, setting the mood and vibe for your colorful and unexpected journey.
A kitchen full of soul
From local to global, gourmets will be able to travel around the world at the Festival. Saint Aymes, the quirky and Instagrammable London cafe, is coming from the UK to wow you. Alluring street food concepts, such as Dubai’s Nap Pizzeria, crowd favorite Let’s Popcorn, and cult tea brand Boba Tiger Sugar, will also make an appearance there.
Local Shopping Experiences
The DAZ Festival Market will be a one-stop-shop for the hottest local and regional brands, whether it’s fashion, accessories, home decor, fragrances or beauty products. The market will feature special spaces dedicated to Emirati culture and heritage, where visitors can take part in cultural workshops, craft activities and more.
Family activities
Celebrating all that is in nature, the “Jungle Escape Room” will bring families and friends together for an adventure during the festival. They will be able to challenge their environmental awareness, survival skills and knowledge by finding clues that will help them escape the jungle before the time is up.
Versus, the popular collaborative virtual reality game, is coming to Al Ain, giving participants the chance to delve into the ancient Egyptian underworld and apply their archery skills to win the challenge.
fun and game
Mimicking a forest, the children’s playground will make the youngest nature lovers fall in love. Filled with adventures, fun, slides and swings, children can be entertained and active for hours at this wooden playground.
The festival’s Oasis Play Park will invite visitors to explore artistic and Instagrammable playgrounds. Bringing a whimsical touch to the outdoors, the park will have colorful, interactive animal sculptures that double as slides, carousels and seesaws.
Live Entertainment
Music lovers can expect uninterrupted beats with regional stars and top artists on stage for the duration of the festival. Families can also take a seat with their children to watch nature-inspired Disney animated classics, such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, The Jungle Book and The Lion King.
