The talented team of the Plzeň region already confirmed its role as the favorite in the first half, winning by 12 goals, and in the second half, it increased its lead even more. “I liked that we had the match under control practically from the beginning. We had the game under our direction and that is our goal against such opponents. We need to prove to them that Pilsen will not just take points,” said the coach of the vice-champion Petr Stochl, whose wards won for the third time in a row.
In the early evening, Lovosice had to respond to Pilsen’s win in the morning, having lost a blow to the champion Karvina in the previous round and lost first place in the table. In the duel against Kopřivnica, which had seven-goal scorers Zdenek Čadra and Radek Doležel, the North Bohemians lost 16:17 in the first half. After the break, however, they turned around and kept in touch with Pilsen and three points ahead of third-placed Karvina.
