With these reasons, the carabinieri of the Celano station arrested a man after the intervention for the verification of the damage to the car. The soldiers who intervened reconstructed the incident, immediately managing to trace the alleged perpetrator, a 47-year-old local offender, currently subjected to the measure of special surveillance with the obligation to stay in the municipality of Avezzano, recently imposed by the preventive measures section of the Court of L ‘Eagle.
The man, with a past judicial background, is not new to such behaviors. Just a week ago he was reported on the loose by the same soldiers of the Arma who checked him during a surveillance patrol of the territory, finding him, in fact, outside the municipality of compulsory residence. Yesterday’s new episode, however, took a different turn. The investigations carried out by the carabinieri established that the repeated violation of the obligation to stay was aggravated by the crime of damaging and illegally carrying weapons and offensive objects. In fact, the search on the vehicle used by the arrested person also made it possible to find and seize a knife of the type used for work in the kitchen. The entire affair was reported to the prosecutor of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office of Avezzano which, in consideration of the report, will request the validation of the arrest from the GIP of the same Court. In the meantime, the man was taken to the Marsica prison.
