With the result 2:0 (1:0), Riga beat one of the leading teams of the Cyprus championship, “Aris” from Limassol.
Andrejs Iličs scored a goal for RFS in the first half, and Cedric Kvadio stood out with an accurate shot in the second half.
The game took place in the “Alphamega” stadium, which was opened last November, and has 10,700 seats.
In the Cypriot championship, “Aris” is in third place with 57 points in 28 games, but in the last match they defeated second-placed AEK Larnaca, which also has 57 points, with 4:0. Leaders APOEL Nicosia have four points more.
Meanwhile, RFS is seventh in the ten-team competition with two points in two matches in the new season of the Premier League.
