Serious altercations between players from Peru and the Police… and a few end up in custody

SThe situation that was experienced in the concentration hotel where the Peruvian national team is installed between its players and the National Police is urreal.

The South American team is in Madrid to play a friendly match against Morocco at the Atlético de Madrid stadium. Hundreds of fans crowded at the door of the hotel to receive their players with a ‘flag’, a moment that broke out the altercations.

According to several witnesses, a member of the police pushed Yoshimar Yotúna Peruvian international, to make him back off, mistaking him for a fan, which caused the footballer to respond with another push that led to serious altercations between the footballers and members of the state security forces.

The altercations have ended with four soccer players from Peru as detainees, who had to go to the police station to testify: Yotún himself, Pedro Gallese, José Carvallo and Álex Valera.
