April starts with pure sport in Rosario. With a national youth athletics tournament as the main attraction, this weekend will have a full agenda with various activities, including tennis, triathlon, judo, golf, paddle tennis, and rugby. Padel: Series 1 continues

From Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 2, the Series 1 Padel Tournament takes place for the second Gentlemen and third Ladies categories in Utopia Pádel, Rosario Pádel and Club Italiano. Organized by the Santa Fe Padel Association.

Triathlon: 15th Rosario City

This week there will be two golf tournaments in our city. Recreational street with varied activities

This Sunday, April 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Calle Recreativa we will have appropriate proposals to share with the family. There will be a Healthy Point in charge of Aguas Santafesinas and the Rosario Producers Market, which will set up a hydration stand in Ayolas and San Martín, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., where they will deliver fresh water (bring a bottle) and fruits.

Juguemos en Calle is in two places: from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the Explanada del Museo de la Ciudad (2361 Oroño Boulevard), and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Ayolas and San Martín. It is a space for families where different games and activities of a ludic nature are provided, free or directed by physical education teachers and residents.

There will be a bicycle rental and repair station from the Youth Animators project, from the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, on Boulevard Oroño y el Río, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. There, patches, tubes, chain adjustments, brakes and seats are changed.

In turn, by showing identification, you can rent more than one bicycle, for more than an hour, at affordable prices. They are also in Ayolas and San Martín, but that space is only for making repairs.

“Paseo a Ciegas” is located on Avenida Carballo and Vélez Sarsfield and addresses social inclusion and active participation through the use of tandem (double) and wheelchair-adapted bicycles (for boys and girls) with the aim of promoting physical activity inclusive.

It invites everyone to live the experience of a blind walk using a mask, being able to live the experience to generate greater awareness in the population about the problems of people with disabilities in their daily lives. This Extension program of the UGR is developed jointly with the Rosario Association of Sports for the Blind (ARDeC).

The Children’s Traffic Education Park is also open on Sundays so that attendees can use their own bicycles, skates, skateboards and rollers, enjoying a place of recreation and learning, in a space that simulates a small city in which, through ludic and recreational activities, visitors take part in actions that encourage habits and behaviors of road safety and the correct use of public roads.

The Mini Cycling School is located from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the esplanade of the City of Girls and Boys (Vélez Sarsfield and Carballo avenue) and from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Oroño and Dante Alighieri boulevards.

The Cycling School is in the City Museum. It is a proposal carried out together with the Mobility Entity and the company Movi Rosario. This is a free space for training and education for people over 12 years of age, who use or want to start using the bike as a mode of mobility. Shifts: from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The goal is for them to learn to drive confidently and responsibly in the city. Issues related to circulation, traffic regulations, safety elements and useful tips for safe driving are addressed. In the City of Girls and Boys (Vélez Sarsfield and Carballo avenue) “Descanso al Paso” takes place from 10 am to 1 pm. This program provides a space to rest, hydrate, prepare a tea or mate with herbs from the garden, read a book or the newspaper, listen to a story and participate in different activities.

The Irupé Fair is in Balcarce and the river, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. This self-managed fair is carried out with entrepreneurs, manualists and artisans. In Sunchales Park (between the carousel and the silos), from 10 to 11 a.m., there are free tai chi kung classes given by specialized teachers to reduce physical ailments, respiratory, circulatory, digestive, nervous, and joint problems.

There are free yoga classes on Boulevard Oroño and el Río, starting at 9:30 a.m., run by the Yoga Technician of the Universidad del Gran Rosario. Different gyms in the city teach Zumba and Rhythms classes at 9:00 a.m. in the Plaza de las Ciencias (2500 Oroño Boulevard) and from 9:30 a.m. in San Martín and Ayolas.

From 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the “Museo al Paso” is held, a program of the City Museum where they open the patio with a proposal to share a different morning to enjoy the sun, in the shade, to read a book or listen to music outdoors.

Estación Bienestar is on Avenida Estanislao López and Bulevar Oroño, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This project is carried out by students of kinesiology (UGR), nutrition (UCEL) and medicine/nursing (IUNIR), providing health promotion services for the care and awareness of society.

There are quick repair points by bicycle shops friends from Calle Recreativa: the “Bicicletería” (Rioja 2138), “El Venezolano” (Balcarce 1317) and “Cumpas” (San Martín 2967).

It should be remembered that Calle Recreativa has a 35 km circuit free of cars, motorcycles and urban transport to walk, run, skate, ride a bike or rollers.

12 years ago, Rosario was the first city in the country to implement a temporary recreational circuit, which was 13 kilometers long; in 2012 two extensions were made, reaching 28 km.

Recreational Street is a massive alternative for coexistence, meeting, recreation, healthy living, physical activity and active mobility for all citizens. It provides an orderly public space, used by all ages.
