Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau announced the sixth batch of provincial-level sports and leisure township cultivation list. A total of 6 townships in the province were selected, namely Qingliangfeng Outdoor Exploration Sports Township (Qingliangfeng Town, Lin’an District, Hangzhou City), Lindai Baseball Sports Township (Lindai Town, Pinghu City), Guanhaiwei Paddle Board Sports Township (Guanhaiwei Town, Cixi City), Xiwu Fifth Ring Equestrian Township (Xiwu Street, Fenghua District, Ningbo City), Chi’an Trail Sports Township (Chi’an Town, Yiwu City) and Yuzhai Mountain Field Sports Township (Yuzhai Township, Pujiang County).

In May 2017, the State Sports General Administration issued the “Notice on Promoting the Construction of Sports and Leisure Characteristic Towns”, and the construction of sports and leisure characteristic towns officially kicked off. Three months later, the list of the first batch of 96 sports and leisure characteristic town pilot projects was officially released. Subsequently, our province issued the first local standards for sports and leisure townships.

Sports and leisure townships are mainly based on townships (streets) or functional areas of the same level, relying on a certain characteristic sports and leisure industry or environmental resources, and focusing on individual sports and leisure activities. The projects cultivated and created have clear themes, full of sports vitality, and a broad mass base , A space platform for the development of the sports industry with profound cultural connotations. In the past 6 years, Zhejiang has cultivated 5 batches of 30 provincial-level sports and leisure towns, and officially recognized 6 towns as the first batch of provincial-level sports and leisure towns, namely: Daicun Country Sports Township, Shilin Harbor Sports Township, Baizhang Fashion Sports Township, Moganshan diffuse sports township, Lingjiushan forest sports township and Shimen extreme sports township.

Provincial-level sports and leisure towns are blooming in Zhejiang, and there are more new choices and new scenarios for sports and leisure activities for residents and tourists inside and outside the province. These towns are also continuing to promote the coordinated development of urban and rural integration of the sports industry, becoming an important grasp of common prosperity and rural revitalization. hand.
