Good atmosphere at the German Kata Championships

The organization was in the hands of Sebastian Frey (German Kata Championships) and Cornelia Classen (Including German Kata Championships). Jens Keidel (referent for mass sport and association development) also took part in the award ceremony.

The competition took place on three mats. The digital kata score system was used for the first time and guaranteed a quick and direct transfer of the scores! While a total of over 140 judoka formed a respectable field of participants, the U18s were unfortunately only two teams at the start, but they convinced with very good performances.

For the first time, Frank Nitzel, an incumbent president of a state association (Saxony), took part in the kata competitions of the German Kata Championships as an athlete (Kime no kata). The atmosphere was consistently good and there was a lot of positive feedback.
