SAF x Association – News Esporte Clube Bahia

Officially started in early May, SAF do Bahia is a partnership between City Football Group (CFG), majority shareholder with 90% of the shares, and Esporte Clube Bahia, with 10% of the shares of the new company.

And what does this impact on the Partner Squadron?

As of this Friday (26th) there will be two distinct and independent partner programs.

SAF memberswith benefits similar to the current program (linked to discounts and access to games), and Association Memberswith plans foreseen in the club statute.

BAHIA ASSOCIATION
The Club’s Statute provides for three categories of member plan: Contributor, Patrimonial and Redeemed, the first being the only one still marketed.

They have an associative relationship, are preserved and will continue to exist only in Bahia Associação.

In early 2023, the Association’s Deliberative Council established the value of the contribution for the fiscal year, as determined by the Bahia Statute. At the time, it was determined that the values ​​would be:

Membership fee: R$ 15.00 (before R$ 25.00) / Monthly fee: R$ 20.00 (before R$ 49.00)

Those who are members of the association will pay only R$ 20 per month, regardless of the date of admission, whether or not they have a SAF plan. The fan who wants to have a link with the association and enjoy what it offers (political rights) must authorize the collection of the association fee (R$ 20 per month).

BAHIA SAF
On the other hand, Bahia SAF will be responsible for managing Bahia’s football business and, with that, also in charge of the ‘Sócio Esquadrão’ plans (nomenclature that belongs to the SAF) linked to games. That is: Guaranteed Access in all its categories (Shorts and T-shirt; Bahia da Massa; Chair; Special Chair and Premium Lounge).

The Esquadrãozinho and Torcedor de Aço plans will also be under the umbrella of Bahia SAF, as they are commercial products and are not provided for in the Bylaws.

Lastly, from now on there will be a plan at Bahia SAF called “Sócio Esquadrão”, equivalent to the association’s former assets/contributors, ideal for fans who want to have priority and a discount when purchasing tickets for Bahia games; in-store discounts; enjoy the network of partners and several other advantages, but without the benefit of Guaranteed Access.

All SAF plans remain at the same prices practiced until then, before the separation of the plans. The Squadron Member at R$ 49.00 and its variations according to age, sex and city; Torcedor de Aço e Esquadrãozinho at BRL 10.00 and Guaranteed Access according to the table announced in December 2022:

Bahia da Massa Norte: BRL 69.90 per month
Bahia da Massa Leste: BRL 74.90 per month
North Chair: BRL 114.90 per month
East Chair: BRL 119.90 per month
Special Chair: BRL 149.90 per month
Premium Lounge: BRL 299.90 per month
All also include R$ 25.00 of the membership fee (for new members).

From June 2023 monthly fee Bahia Associação and Bahia SAF will charge separately for their membership plans.

There is no link between the Bahia Associação membership plan and the Bahia SAF. They are different companies, with different CNPJs and that will charge for their respective services independently HERE and HERE.

Therefore, depending on what is paid by the fan on the due date of his/her monthly fee (5th, 15th or 25th of the month), there will be these possibilities:

(a) be a member of the Association and SAF → will pay BRL 20 + the value of the respective SAF plan
(b) be a member of the Association only → will pay only BRL 20
(c) be a SAF member only, with or without guaranteed access → R$ value of the respective plan

According to the last statutory amendment, the president of Esporte Clube Bahia will be the representative of the Association on the Board of Directors of SAF – the group responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with the contract signed between the parties, observance and preservation of history, colors, crest , anthem, shirt and other elements that make Bahia Bahia.
