Rummenigge teases ex-coach Nagelsmann

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is back at FC Bayern as a member of the supervisory board. With regard to former coach Julian Nagelsmann, the 67-year-old cannot resist a dig.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the longtime CEO of the FC Bayernhas after his return to the supervisory board of the record champions made a dig at ex-coach Julian Nagelsmann.

“We had a young coach in Julian Nagelsmann. I have always been a friend of experience. The trainer I learned the most from was Jupp Heynckes,” said the 67-year-old at the SPOBIS Conference in Düsseldorf on Thursday.

The 35-year-old Nagelsmann was released from Munich in March.

When analyzing the mistakes made in the recent past, Rummenigge also criticized his successor Kahn and ex-sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, from whom the club had separated after winning the championship.
