Problems with the lateral meniscus: Demirovic successfully operated

Ermedin Demirovic had to have an operation on the external meniscus last week. As his club, FC Augsburg, announced on Friday, the operation went well, so that the attacker could already start with the first rehabilitation measures.

According to the club, Demirovic had complained of knee problems at the end of the season. Nevertheless, the 25-year-old was in the starting XI in the last six games of the season for Augsburg (one goal) and was able to celebrate relegation with the Fuggerstadt team on the last day of the game despite a 0-2 defeat at Borussia Mönchengladbach. The persistent complaints would now have made an operation necessary, it said in the Augsburg press release.

Demirovic does not travel to the Bosnian national team

FCA did not provide any information on how long the striker would be out. What is certain, however, is that Demirovic will miss the Bosnian national team’s European Championship qualifiers in Portugal (June 17, 8:45 p.m.) and against Luxembourg (June 20, 8:45 p.m.) due to injury.
