Benzema was introduced to the public by Al-Ittihad on Wednesday (7/6/2023). The player of French – Algerian descent immediately signed a three-year contract.
During his press conference, Benzema explained the reasons why he was willing to move to Saudi Arabia and leave Europe.
“I am very proud of my football career in Spain, France and Europe in general. And I feel now is the time to start a new project,” said the 2022 Ballon dÓr winner.
Apart from that, according to him, the quality of the Saudi Arabian League has gone global since the superstar Cristiano Ronaldo played for Al-Nassr.
