The Leiria Football Association held, on the 10th, at Campo Municipal Quinta da Boneca, in Caldas da Rainha, the 1st District Meeting of Walking Football, attended by Sport União Alfeizerense and the Senior University Rainha Dona Leonor.
Walking Football aims to encourage sports, integration and group interaction in favor of a more active life. It intends to combat isolation, sedentary lifestyle, depression, improve health indices, increase social interaction and socializing among practitioners.
Without runs, jumps, sweeps, tackles and cuts, Walking Football appears as an adapted football offer, regardless of age and physical condition, aiming to protect those who practice it.
The winner of the match was Alfeizerense, who will thus participate in the Great Walking Football Meeting, in Cidade do Futebol, on the 1st and 2nd of July, where one team per district association will be represented.
