It’s official, LOU Rugby announced on Wednesday the signing for a season of Northern Irish opener Paddy Jackson (31), which L’Équipe revealed last week. This very good scorer trained in Ulster, where he scored 600 points between 2010 and 2018, is an old acquaintance of French rugby since he played for a year in Perpignan, during the 2018-2019 season.
Jackson had been playing since 2019 in England, with the London Irish, a club recently excluded from its Championship due to the serious financial difficulties which have plagued it for several months.

This season, Jackson even finished top scorer in the Premiership, with 205 points scored. He also has 26 caps with the Irish national team. He notably participated in the 2015 World Cup and won the 2014 Six Nations Tournament. His arrival at LOU will notably compensate for the departure of New Zealand fly-half Lima Sopoaga from the club.
