Check what time traffic will be closed in the towns of Gipuzkoa through which the Tour de France passes on Sunday

The Tour de France will paralyze a large part of the Gipuzkoan roads this Sunday with the course of the second stage of the gala round, which will link Vitoria with San Sebastián through the interior of the territory, passing through the Bidasoa region.

Below you can check the traffic cuts of all the towns through which the race will pass on Sunday. Some have their particularities, but the general rule is clear: once the road has been cut, not even pedestrians (in theory) will be able to cross it, although only critical kilometers such as mountain passes and the final kilometers will be fenced off.

The GI-2620 that will cross the first town in Gipuzkoa will close at 10:35 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. The caravan will pass, according to the Tour de France roadbook, at 11:54 and the peloton around 1:46.

Oñati

The GI-2630 cuts off at the entrance to both sides of the town from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The caravan passes around 12:13 p.m. and the race at 2:04 p.m.

Zerain, Segura, Idiazabal

The race continues towards the interior of the territory and in its passage through the towns of Zerain, Segura and Idiazabal and the mountain passes of Udana and Aztiria, traffic will be closed around 11:00 a.m., three and a half hours before the start of the race: 2:13 p.m. at the top of Udana, 2:22 p.m. at the top of Aztiria, 2:30 p.m. in Zerain, 2:33 p.m. in Segura and 2:37 p.m. in Idiazabal.

Beasain

The GI-2131 will close at 11:30 am and the race will cross Beasain via Trenbide Kalea, Barrendain Plaza, Plaza Gipuzkoa and Laskaibar Kalea. The caravan passes around 12:55 pm, the race around 2:42 pm and the road will reopen around 4:00 pm, one hour after the race.

Ordisia

Along with Beasain, the streets Joseba Rezola, Gudarien Etorbidea and the Oianguren road will close at 11:30 am, as will the Zaldibibidea road, taking the curve to the right. The caravan passed at around 12:59 p.m. and the peloton at 2:46 p.m., the best scheduled time.

Zaldibia, Abaltzisketa, Amezketa, Alegia, Altzo

The passage of the race through the towns of Zaldibia, Abaltzisketa, Amezketa, Alegia and Altzo is at 2:51 p.m., 3:01 p.m., 3:04 p.m., 3:12 p.m. and 3:13 p.m., so the road will be closed after 11:30 a.m. The caravan will pass at 1:05 p.m., 1:16 p.m., 1:20 p.m., 1:28 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Toulouse

Traffic will be cut at 11:00 a.m. in the following streets and neighborhoods of Tolosa: Amarotz neighborhood, Iruña etorbidea, Kondeaneko Aldapa, the Santa Klara roundabout, Santa Klara kalea, Vial Igarondo, the Larramendi bridge and the area that goes from Belate to Anoeta. The City Council recommends using the Olarrain – Benta Haundi accesses to enter and leave the town.

The advertising caravan is scheduled to pass at 1:37 p.m. and the race at 3:20 p.m.

The City Council indicates that traffic will not open until around 5:00 p.m.

Anoeta

The GI-3650 and GI-3630 in Anoeta will be cut at 11:00 a.m. so that the caravan visits the town at 1:44 p.m. and the peloton at 3:27 p.m. The road will remain closed until 5:00 p.m., reports the town hall.

Alkiza

It is one of the most attractive points to see the stage, with the mountain height of 4.2 kilometers at 5.7%. The road is closed to non-residents from this Saturday at 7:00 am, and the only way to go up to Alkiza will be on foot or by bicycle.

The town has prepared a great party with cider tasting, grilled sardines, a variety of pintxos and ekotalos starting at 11:30 am, in addition to a giant screen to follow the entire stage.

The caravan will make its way at 1:51 p.m. and the peloton, fighting for points on the mountain, at 3:33 p.m.

The road from Asteasu to Villabona will be closed from 12:30 p.m. until after 4:30 p.m. The caravan will pass at 1:57 p.m. and the race at 3:38 p.m.

The town hall informs that if you need to leave Asteasu, you can do it through the Aia road.

Zurkil

Asteasu road, Ernio-bdea and Bulandegi street will be closed from 12:00 to 17:00. The caravan will pass at 1:59 p.m. and the race at 3:38 p.m.

Andoin

Karrika, Aita Larramendi, Zumea, Kaleberria, Juan Bautista Erro and Kaletxiki streets will be closed from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The passage of the caravan is scheduled at 2:05 p.m. and that of the race at 3:46 p.m., in the best forecast.

The GI-131, the road that goes from Andoain to Hernani passing through Idiazabal street, will remain closed to traffic from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The passage of the caravan will be at 2:14 p.m. and that of the peloton at 3:53 p.m.

to Hernani

The race will enter Hernani from Urnieta, on the GI-3132. The itinerary will be as follows: Mandazubi roundabout, Txantxila Izpizua, Elkano, Txirrita, Zinkoenea and Akarregi. It will be closed from 12:00 to 17:00.

The caravan will enter Hernani at 2:17 p.m. and the race at 3:57 p.m.

The Tour will cross Astigarraga from Martindegi to the Iparralde path. The tour will be closed from 12:50 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The caravan will pass at 2:22 p.m. and the race at 4:01 p.m., heading to Oiartzun.

The town hall recommends that those who want to leave the town park their vehicle in advance in the Bidebitarte industrial estate, from where the easiest way out can be found.

Oiartzun

The race will come from Astigarraga and enter Oiartzun via Txikierdi, going down the Txipito slope and going up via Ugaldetxo. The direction of the Tour will go to Gurutze, a mountain level of 2.6 kilometers at 4.7% of average slope, to go to Irun.

All this route will close at 1:00 p.m., since the caravan will pass at 2:34 p.m. and the race at 4:12 p.m.

Hair

The Tour will enter Irun at 2:47 p.m. with the advertising caravan and at 4:24 p.m. with the peloton passing through the Gurutze hill to go to the Tesa roundabout, and follow the entire Letxunborro avenue to turn at Zubimuxu and continue towards Hondarribia. From 1:30 p.m. to 5:40 p.m., approximately, the entire route will be closed.

The affected streets are the following, announces the city council: Letxunborro avenue in both directions, Elizatxo avenue (from Porcelanas to Café Irun), Monte Aldabe (from the Hospital roundabout to Burniola), Ospitale (from the Puiana junction to Letxunborro), Anaka (from Peñas de Aia to Letxunborro), Jaizkibel (from Agerre to Peñas de Aia) and Hondarribia street. In addition, access to Zubimuxu will be cut off from the GI-636.

During the cut, it is recommended to use the South ring road through Oñaurre to exit and enter Irun.

Hondarribia

Access to the port of Jaizkibel has already been cut off since Friday. On Sunday, traffic will be cut at 11:30 a.m. on Amutalde street (GI-2134 and N-638), Gabarrari street, Minasoroeta street, Bitteri, Harresilanda and Jaizkibel Hiribidea.

The caravan will enter Hondarribia at 2:52 p.m. and the race at 4:28 p.m.

The council indicates that the San Nicolás footbridge can be used as a crossing point, but not to stop and watch the race there.

In Lezo, Jaizkibel avenue in the direction of Pasai Donibane and Errenteria will be closed from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., although the Pasaia city council indicates that the cut to Donibane will be made at 12:00 p.m. The caravan will arrive at the town at 3:19 p.m. and the peloton will come after descending Jaizkibel at 4:53 p.m.

Rent

The cut in Errenteria, which passes by but borders on its way between Lezo and Pasaia, will be closed from the point of the Kaputxinogaina tunnel from 2:00 p.m.

Passage

Lezo’s conditions also include Pasai Donibane, while in Pasai Antxo all exits to Avenida de Navarra and the avenue itself will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The caravan will arrive at 3:23 p.m. and the peloton at 4:56 p.m.

Donostia

The Gipuzkoan capital is the arrival city of the second stage of the Tour de France, so traffic conditions will intensify in San Sebastián.

The 4.8 kilometers that the Tour will cover in San Sebastián will be closed to all vehicles (cars, motorcycles, buses, pedestrians and bicycles) from 12:00 to 18:30, which mainly affect Avenida Alcalde José Elosegi, Ategorrieta , Navarra and Zurriola avenue, point of arrival.

In addition, the area between the Boulevard, Avenida de la Libertad, República Argentina and Alderdi Eder will also be closed to traffic.
