A presentation of the belts is one of the most important moments in the course of a judoka. Four categories of young judoka presented their end-of-season demonstrations, opening a beautiful ceremony.
The young judoka athletes, categories mini-chicks, chicks, youngest and minima, met for a last demonstration of judo in a friendly, warm and family atmosphere. In turn, they performed on the tatami, each supporting the other, endlessly dazzling their parents, amazed by their prowess.
Grades and colors
Then, the 24 students of the club were honored with their passage to the next level during the official ceremony of the awarding of belts. The white belts have moved up a rank towards the yellow-white; yellows to yellow-oranges, etc.
Élisa, Sarah, Aliin and Victor were given a cup to remind them of their qualifications in the youngest category. All have been fighting up to the Regional level. Élisa Baque, having also been crowned with success for her place as 3rd in the region in April.
Solène, Timéo, Amine and Orlen had the surprise and the joy of obtaining their diploma accompanied by an invitation to go and see the Olympic Games in Paris.
Handover
To close this ceremony rich in emotions, there was only one announcement missing, just as surprising: Professor Franck Landry, who has been working for the club for 20 years, has decided to pass the baton “to the youth”. He who allowed the judoka, Emma Melis, to make his debut in the club decided to “take a vacation”, he joked. If this ceremony was for him the occasion of a last lesson, there is no doubt that he will again tread the padded floor of the club’s tatami during future events.
It is Theo Schtrock, a young graduate teacher, who will officiate in the future within the club and who will do honor to his work.
President Andréa Lauret could not hide her pride for her “little enthusiasts”. She will resume her position as president from the start of the next school year and is enthusiastic about “a new year full of adventures, new teacher, new office and lots of events being planned. We’re starting from scratch. And although it’s intense, it’s it is passionately that we invest ourselves in it!”.
It was around a buffet organized by the club that everyone enjoyed getting together to share the many sweet and savory snacks, in the light of the summer sun.
