Taisei Marukawa, a PSIS player from Japan, admitted that he was very happy to finally be able to marry his girlfriend, Miu. The two officially married last April and currently both live in Semarang, Central Java.
Being able to marry his lover is one of Marukawa’s biggest achievements in his career in the Indonesian League. Yes, if he doesn’t play in the Indonesian League, Marukawa admits he might not be able to marry Miu.
Taisei Marukawa admitted that while playing in Europe, to be precise with the Maltese club, Valletta in 2020, he had financial difficulties.
“When I was in Malta, my salary was barely enough to survive. I arrived at the Indonesian airport, I felt like an amateur and after that I was surrounded by reporters and photographed,” he said as quoted from Friday Digital.

In uploading his Instagram account, Marukawa posts when he takes a photo with his wife and writes thanks for being able to marry his idol.
“I’m married to @miu_mar10 Thank you for the great atmosphere. Let’s do our best this season,” wrote Marukawa.
Currently, Marukawa is part of the Laskar Mahesa Jenar team alias PSIS Semarang. This player who was born in Hiroshima admitted that he was very happy to have a career in Indonesia because he could live comfortably.
Before joining PSIS, Marukawa was part of the Persebaya Surabaya club.
“My house is separate in the area where foreigners live. There is also a security guard. The house has three bedrooms and two toilets. If I lived in Japan, I could never live like this,” he said.
