PALEMBANG – Performance of the U-19 Indonesian Women’s National Team at AFF Women’s U-19 Cup 2023 is on the rise after winning the opening 2 matches of the group phase. Soha also admitted that the U-19 and Vietnam Women’s National Teams have the same chance to advance to the semifinals of the 2023 AFF U-19 Women’s Championship, but the possibility of the two meeting in the next round is very small.
“Basically, the U-19 Indonesian Women’s National Team and the U-19 Vietnam Women’s National Team have a great chance to advance to the semifinals, but the possibility of the two teams meeting in this round is very small,” added Soha.
Only one representative team with the status of group winner will advance to the semifinals of the 2023 AFF U-19 Women’s Championship. Meanwhile, one more place will be filled by the best runner-up.
In the semifinals, the U-19 Indonesian Women’s National Team will face the best runner-up on 13 July 2023. Meanwhile, the winners of Group B will face the winners of Group C on the same date.
After winning over Laos, the U-19 Indonesian Women’s National Team will face Cambodia in a decisive match on Sunday (9/7/2023). Victory in this match will make the U-19 Indonesian Women’s National Team win Group A and advance to the next round.
