The new Stade de Luxembourg was inaugurated on Saturday – with a special surprise for little Prince Charles.

(jwi) – The new Stade de Luxembourg in Kockelscheuer was inaugurated on Saturday. Because after almost 2,000 visitors at the beginning of September Friendly match between Luxembourg and Azerbaijan could enjoy in the new stadium, the official inauguration of the new sports field in the city of Luxembourg was missing.

This happened on Saturday, among other things, in the presence of Grand Duke Henri, the Metropolitan Mayor Lydie Polfer (DP) and Sports Minister Dan Kersch (LSAP). The evening ceremony included a laser show, dance and music animation, and performances by young football and rugby players. At the end there was a cake and a shirt for Prince Charles with “Charles 1” written on it as a souvenir.
