Sergiño Dest seems to be preparing for another chance at FC Barcelona. Coach Xavi wants the young American to go to training camp to show his qualities.
At least that is what the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo writes. Because of the occupation in that position, with an injury-prone Sergi Roberto and a Jules Kounde who prefers to play centrally in the back, Xavi is curious about what Dest has to offer. He can show that during the upcoming training camp.
Barcelona are also still looking at options to sign a new right-back, but for now there is no viable target available on the market. It could be a solution for Dest.
Dest was loaned to the Italian AC Milan last season. However, the defender could not break any pots and experienced a disappointing rental period. At Barcelona, where he arrived three years ago on the advice of Ronald Koeman, the chance of playing time also seemed small.
