The victories of Tadej Pogacar, let’s not forget a candidate for the Tour, in 2023 we know them a little as the lineup of the team of our dreams: Clásica de Jaén, Vuelta a Andalucía, Paris-Nice, Tour of Flanders, Amstel Gold Race and Flecha Wallonne.
This animal that costs so little to write is the story of a spring that will surely take time to see again.
A series of consecutive victories, of all types and sizes, all with a stampthat of a cyclist who is equated with some history, and not so far away, since we have already witnessed some.
I am referring to springs of those that remain forever and that in my case have two precedents: that of Jalabert in 1995 and that of Gilbert in 2011.
Both, French and Belgian, managed to elevate cycling to the status of excellence with springs to remember.
Year 1995, the Frenchman recovered from his horrible fall in the Tour the previous yearmanaged to link triumph after triumph from February to April, completing a series that I summarize quickly: Paris-Nice, Milan-San Remo, International Criterium (a highly appreciated race at the time), Klasika de Amorebieta and Flecha Wallonne.
We left it here, then other successes came, since we are only talking about spring and not counting podiums.

Tadej Pogacar’s spring 2023 is comparable to those mentioned, which I do remember well, and I think it was worth it, even if his performance on the Tour is in danger.
I know that the Grande Boucle is something else, another level, the race that puts before the World with capital letters, beyond the statisticians and cycling geeks.
Pogacar has already won it, therefore, twiceand I will surely choose to renew the corona in the future, hopefully also 2023.
He has risked a lot this year, as we have never seen in a Tour contenderin this beginning of the campaign, but we can say that it has been worth it, his communion with the public has been total, his way of running and winning, even running the risk of being boring.
We hope that his recovery goes well, that we have him back on the scene and that the 2023 Tour is the extension of this great cycling that we are having to enjoy.
Everyone, even his staunchest rivals, we love him on the road, it is a luxury that we could never go without.
