The FIBA Basketball World Cup will begin in just over a month and USA Basketball defined its squad at the beginning of July. Now, we know some of the members of the Select Team with which those chosen by head coach Steve Kerr and general manager Grant Hill will train.
According to the report by Shams Charania of The Athletic, USA Basketball has chosen Cade Cunningham, from the Detroit Pistons; Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets; Keegan Murray of the Sacramento Kings; Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder as replacements for the FIBA World Cup and will be able to travel to the Philippines for the tournament.
The Select Team will be led by Jamahl Mosley, the head coach of the Orlando Magic. Team USA’s training camp will begin on August 3 at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
Before the World Cup, USA Basketball will face Puerto Rico, Greece and Germany in exhibition matches. The duel against the Puerto Ricans will take place on August 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas while the duels against the European teams will take place on the 18th and 20th in Abu Dhabi.

The United States is part of Group C and will face Jordan, Greece and New Zealand in the first phase of the tournament in the city of Manila, Philippines. The first game will be against the New Zealanders at 08:40 EST on August 26. The second game will take place on August 28 at 08:40 against Greece. The last game of the group stage will be against Jordan at 04:04 ET on August 30.
