Dutchwoman Demi Vollering won the 7th stage of the Tour de France Women on Saturday at the top of the Col du Tourmalet in the Pyrenees where she took the yellow jersey at the expense of her Belgian teammate Lotte Kopecky, on the eve of the end of the ‘test. The leader of the SD Worx formation attacked five kilometers from the line to finally edge the Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma by almost two minutes, while the Dutch Annemiek van Vleuten, outgoing winner of the Grande Boucle, collapsed in the last hectometres to fail in third position.
