FORMULA 1 | Final classification of the Belgian GP, with Alonso fifth and Sainz out of the race

It took Max Verstappen just 17 laps to climb from sixth position to the lead at Spa-Francorchamps. The Dutch driver once again showed his superiority at the 2023 Belgian GP and achieved his tenth victory of the season in twelve events. It is also his 45th victory in Formula 1 at 25 years of age and leaves his third title more than on track when there are still ten grand prix to be played after the summer break.

Fernando Alonso has recovered from a very fateful weekend for him and Aston Martin and has come from ninth place on the grid to fifth place, with a successful strategy and a good defense against George Russell.

Carlos Sainz had to retire midway through the race, after colliding with Oscar Piastri at the start.
