Minnesota Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards will not face charges for throwing a chair at two Ball Arena employees, but was fined $50,000 by the NBA.
This was announced by the Silver circuit on Wednesday.

Last April, Edwards completely lost control after his team was eliminated at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. He grabbed a folding chair and threw it to the ground, before heading to the locker room.
Two women, who worked at the Nuggets home, later claimed to have been hit by the object and suffered injuries.
The day after the incident, Edwards was charged with assault. His lawyer had also indicated that they were “unfounded”.
The investigation into this matter is now a thing of the past and the authorities have agreed with the representative. The 22-year-old will therefore not have to face justice.
The NBA still decided to crack down on the very first pick of the 2020 draft and it dipped into its wallet. This is the second time Edwards has been fined by the league. In 2022, he received a $40,000 punishment for a homophobic comment he made on social media.
