Big names like reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic have canceled for the upcoming World Cup, but 58 current NBA players will represent their countries in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines. Here is the overview.
Twelve of the 58 players are in the USA squad, only nine of the 32 competing nations do without NBA players. Here are all the NBA players participating in the World Cup sorted by group draw.
Recently, however, there have been other prominent cancellations. Jamal Murray (Canada) and Kristaps Porzingis (Latvia) will not play, and Australia’s starting center Jock Landale was injured in a friendly and will be out.
