The Nets are coming off of a strange season to say the least. Started with a 5-star roster (Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant), Brooklyn’s season finally ended without any of its two stars, both of which went to Dallas and Phoenix. Never mind, the Nets ended the year as best they could by avoiding the play-in and finishing in a nice 6th regular place. A sweep later in the Playoffs (against Philly), and here are our NYC suburbanites attacking a new season with a very different objective than the title. Around Mikal Bridges, Ben Simmons, Cam Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, Nic Claxton or Cam Thomas, the team coached by Jacque Vaughn – the most emblematic graying beard in the League – will want to try to play good basketball why not play spoilsport in the East.

# Plus long road-trip : 6 consecutive trips from March 7 to 17 (Pistons, Hornets, Cavs, Magic, Pacers, Spurs). With only one game at home before leaving for another 4 away games. Watch out for the spurts.

# Longest home session: 5 straight home games Jan. 23-31 (Knicks, Wolves, Rockets, Jazz, Suns). A small away game (Sixers) then again 5 games at Barclays Center (Warriors, Mavs, Cavs, Spurs Celtics) before a well-deserved All-Star Break.

# National broadcast matches (TNT + ESPN + ABC): 11, it’s not huge but it’s still correct.

# Number of games played back-to-back: 14

# Matches at French times for the Nets: 8, in the middle high.

# A few posters to remember:

Let’s start with the great novelty of this season: the Nets will play 4 games counting for the In-Season Tournament during the month of November. Two trips, to Chicago on November 3 and then to Boston on November 10, followed by two receptions in Orlando on November 14 and Toronto on November 28. The playoffs, if the Nets qualify, will take place Dec. 4-9, 2023, just before Mikal Bridges’ return to Phoenix which is scheduled for Dec. 13, 2023. The winger included in the Durant package in February the latter will return to the cacti and Arizona a little before Christmas to recall the good old memories of his former franchise. In 2024, the Nets will be particularly busy. Travel to Paris on January 11 for the Paris NBA Game against the Cavs, and no time to breathe too much or recover from jet lag because Brooklyn will host the last NBA finalist, the Miami Heat, during MLK Day on Monday January 15. Finally, an explosive derby is expected against the Knicks during Rivals Week on January 23 at the Barclays Center.
