SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS.– The Sports Union of the Duarte Province, UDEPRODU congratulates the duartista athlete Medickson del Orbe for his brilliant performance in the Judo Grand Prix in Zagreb where he obtained the silver medal in the most important world tournament held by the International Judo Federation.
It is the first time in the history of national judo that an athlete reaches a Grand Prix final and logically achieves a medal, the silver one by falling tightly in the final match, for which the son of Duarte province , Del Orbe goes down in history with these two significant achievements for the advancement and development that this discipline has achieved.
UDEPRODU, through its President Prof. William Hernández and its Secretary Dr. Manuel Coronado express their congratulations to the members of the Provincial Association and the National President of the Dominican Judo Federation Sensei Gilberto García and all his work team for such a brilliant achievement that once again places the Dominican Republic in the first places of world judo.
