Mikael Ymer Retires from Professional Tennis Following Suspension for Missed Doping Tests

Suspended for 18 months for missing three doping tests in less than a year, between April and November 2021, Swede Mikael Ymer (80th in the world) has chosen to retire from professional tennis, at just 24 years old. He announced it this Friday in a short message on his Twitter account.

“Thank you all for these incredible memories! What an adventure it has been! I wish all my former colleagues good luck in competition, ”wrote the player, finalist of the Winston Salem ATP 250 tournament in 2021 and who did not win any title on the main circuit during his (short) career.
