The Indonesian national team will face Turkmenistan in the FIFA Matchday event this September. Shin Tae-yong summoned 24 players, including those with careers abroad.
Indonesia vs Turkmenistan will be held on September 8 at the Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya. In information from the official PSSI website, coach Shin Tae-yong has summoned 24 players.
On September 4, it is hoped that the 24 players will gather for training. Players who are active abroad were also summoned, such as Asnawi Mangkualam (Jeongnam Dragons), Sandy Walsh (KV Mechelen), Jordi Amat (Johor Darul Ta’zim), Shayne Pattynama (Viking FK), and Saddil Ramdani (Sabah FC).
There are also debutant players who have been called up to the Indonesian National Team. They are Wahyu Prasetyo (PSIS), Ryan Kurnia (Persib), and Aji Kusuma (Persija).
“What is certain is that I am grateful and very happy with my first call-up to the Indonesian national team. I myself will gain as much knowledge as possible and try to be as optimal as possible both in training and in competition when given the opportunity by the coach,” said Wahyu Prasetyo.
Persib Bandung is the League 1 team with the most players contributing to the Indonesian National Team on FiFA Matchday later, namely 4 players. Followed by Borneo FC, PSM Makassar and Persikabo who each contributed 3 players.
