New Orleans Pelicans guard Trey Murphy III suffered a meniscus injury in his left knee during a workout at the team’s training center on Tuesday. Further tests will decide if surgery will be needed.
Should Murphy undergo meniscus surgery, it is likely he will miss the first few months of the upcoming NBA season. Alternatively, a nonsurgical option could keep him out of action for a considerably shorter period, potentially six to eight weeks.
