On this old snapshot provided by the late Loved Artieres, the four tennis musketeers of the time pose in front of the stele of the monument. Members of the Avenir Saint Romain, the first association included the various sporting activities practiced in Saint-Rome-de-Tarn: gymnastics, football, table tennis, women’s basketball.
Today, it is the DSSR (Détente Sportive Saint Romaine) which governs badminton, table tennis and walking.
Regarding the first two, initiation sessions are offered this year again on Tuesday 12 and Tuesday 19 September at the Édouard Galy village hall according to the time slots: from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for table tennis and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. badminton.
A general meeting will also take place on September 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the same premises with renewal of the office, updating of the rules of procedure, announcement of the first walk and registrations. In case of membership, provide a medical certificate valid for 2023-2024 and a check for 10 € for the walk and 20 € for the others.
