Despite two poorly placed double bogeys (at 1 and 18) and a seized up driving (5 fairways affected), Picardy scored a more than correct 69 (7 birdies) to climb into 7th position (-8) after her initial 67 .
“It was a pretty good lap,” comments the Frenchwoman. It really hurts to start with a double and end with a double, but that’s golf. Anything can happen on this course, so I will continue to build my tournament this weekend. This course suits my game quite well, you can make a lot of birdies there. I’m a little upset about my two doubles but I’m still in the game. Every week is a new experience and I constantly learn from it. This is what I keep in mind moving forward. »
