Netflix today revealed the first images of Griselda, the new miniseries starring Sofia Vergara. The Colombian actress, in addition to taking on the role of Griselda Blanco, is also co-creator and producer of the six episodes that make up the miniseries, together with Eric Newman (who worked on Narcos) and the director Andres Baiz.

The official synopsis of the miniseries reads:
“Griselda is inspired by the life of the shrewd and ambitious Colombian entrepreneur Griselda Blanco. A loving mother who created one of the most profitable drug cartels in history. With a lethal mix of unsuspected ferocity and charm, Blanco has managed to keep business and family in her grip, earning her the nickname “Godmother”.
The six episodes that make up Griselda will arrive on Netflix in January 2024.
