With ten years of judo experience under his belt, Xavier Brouillette received a scholarship from the Claude-Mongrain Foundation last June.
After a first place at the Quebec Open and another at the Provincial Championship, the teenager is now aiming for gold at the Canadian Championship. He practices with the Seikidôkan Judo Club in Trois-Rivières and is also in sports studies at the Académie des Estacades.
“He has a fighting spirit and hard work which sets him apart from his colleagues and allows him to compete with his adversaries,” said a press release.
