After only 10 games in two years, Randy Gregory was fired by the Broncos. End of a short adventure for the defensive end.

Little surprise in Denver. Randy Gregory is released from his contract by the Broncos. According to Adam Schefter, for ESPN, the Colorado franchise wants to focus on the young players in its squad.

Arriving in 2022 with a five-year contract in his pocket, Gregory will not have even done two in Denver. He only participated in 10 games, totaling 11 tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. A very meager record which certainly justifies the end of his adventure in Colorado.

This breach of contract will cost, selon Spotrac$16 million to the Broncos in 2023.

Randy Gregory, a talented but fragile player

More often suspended than decisive, Randy Gregory will have, at 30 years old, to find a new team ready to trust him to relaunch his career. Not easy for a player who has never had a full season in his eight-year career.

His best campaign came in 2021, when he had 6 sacks in 12 games for the Cowboys.

His career was also disrupted by a suspension in 2017, then another in 2019, each time for violating the NFL’s anti-drug and alcohol policy. In 2020, Randy Gregory explained that he suffered from an anxiety disorder.
