Jannik Sinner made a leap forward
In view of the unusual end of the tournament in Beijing – the event in the Chinese capital ended on Wednesday – the ATP felt compelled to publish an updated world rankings on Thursday. And Jannik Sinner can feel like a big winner in the new ranking after his triumph in Beijing.
The South Tyrolean improved by three places to fourth place and thus reached a new career high. The world rankings are still led by Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev complete the podium.
Zverev is on course for Turin
Alexander Zverev remains in tenth position and still has a good chance of reaching the ATP Finals in Turin. In the race, the German Olympic champion’s lead over Taylor Fritz, who is currently in ninth place, is already 575 points.
In addition to Zverev, four other German players are among the top 100 in the world: Jan-Lennard Struff (27th), Daniel Altmaier (47th), Yannick Hanfmann (53rd) and Dominik Koepfer. There are three from Austria: Sebastian Ofner (49th), Dominic Thiem (72nd) and Jurij Rodionov (100th).
